The Bench

What we look for
in a network operator.

The Sync CFO bench is not a database. It is a relationship network built from operators who have been in the seat — at PE-backed companies, through transactions, under sponsor pressure, and across GovCon compliance environments. We look for operators who have done the job, not just advised on it.

PE-backed experience
You have served as a finance leader at a PE-backed or founder-owned company and understand what sponsor ownership requires — reporting cadence, deal cycle, board dynamics, and value creation pressure.
GovCon or sector depth
Preference for operators with depth in GovCon, defense, cyber, national security, or adjacent sectors. DCAA experience, indirect rate management, and government contract compliance are differentiators on the bench.
CFO, VP Finance, or Controller level
Current or former CFO, SVP Finance, VP Finance, or Controller with a track record at companies between $10M and $500M in revenue. Open to fractional, interim, or permanent placement.
Transaction experience
Experience supporting or leading a PE transaction — buy-side or sell-side — including QoE preparation, EBITDA bridge construction, NWC analysis, or diligence response.
